Title: Book colors in CS3.
Post by: Zimmy3 on August 05, 2008, 08:44:34 AM
I have 2 spot colors in my CS3 document. No embedded or linked images.

Why can't I change my spots from Book color to CMYK color ?

If you go into the swatch palette, can you delete unused named colors? When this happens, it usually means there are graphics or links with embedded spots. If the artist deleted them after they were placed, the spots would still remain in the color palette.

See above. The colors were generated in a different application. You will not be able to change them in AI.

kinda late on this one,
found this:

I don't know a lot about book colors, never really used em much myself, but it seems to be linked to the use of Overprint Preview.
try it and see if that doesn't help you.

good luck Zimmy
