Thankfully it didn't apply to flatuance becasue I left a few in the corner. If you stop in Elkins W. Va I'd avoid the DQ. It's probably still a little rank in there.

It was the 4th day of nothing but road food and beer. I didn't have a choice.

Feel bad for my GF. Four days behind me in a car along with a 300+ lactose intolerant man that was downing chipwichs at every stop. It was bad enough that the 300+ guy said I should go to the doctor and have it looked at.

Around here, and in Cali, there is a smoking ban in all buildings, including bars and work vehicles and smoking is prohibited within 10 feet of any door of any business. Also no smoking on the campus property of any public school or hospital, even outside. I think people are still allowed to smoke in their own house tho.

Well, chalk up one good reason for leaving.

Hell no! I never felt right smoking inside and sure as hell don't want to be around smoke while I eat.

I miss it... a lot. There are a few diners here that still have smoking, but on the whole, it's pretty much a no-no.

When 6 hits and the Tweedles go home, I fire 'em up at my desk. I am much productive not having to leave to go smoke on the hour. I don't take a lunch break, so if I do eat, it's at my desk after hours with a burg in one hand and a smoke in the other. I really miss chain-smoking at my desk. It used to be the way of all print shops and service bureaus. Hell, when I first moved here, I could smoke while grocery shopping.

We are right on the border of Illinois and Indiana. A bar we like is on the Illinois side and they ignored the new not smoking in bars law but they were starting to get fined. So they built a room attached to the bar with only 1 wall and put heat lamps in there and there's a light switch with a window next to it. When you need another beer, you turn on the light and the bartender opens the window to get your order. Hahaha! The room actually has a foundation. Something about only having one wall makes it so you can smoke in it.

Even though I quit, I still think bars should be sacred ground for smoking. There's just something about a smoky bar that gives it that certain atmosphere.

I agree. Smoking and drinking.......it just goes hand in hand.

How do they expect strip clubs to make money if they don't allow smoking inside? Even with heaters the girls won't be happy outside.

Yes.
Don't ever mix them up. Some of the high proofs are really flammable.

Man, did we get way off topic....

I guess I'll go with the flow -- Since those that smoke here are allowed to take a break whenever, I keep threatening to call in while on vacation and take an additional week of smoke breaks end-to-end.
