I load per job. I make a folder called Temporary Fonts and clean/delete as I move to the next job. I blow through too many jobs to keep them all loaded, plus the conflicts would drive me bat-shit.

Hearin' ya. Though these days PDF-supplied jobs has reduced the font load. But am going to change the way I do it; now's the time after going to a new Mac.

I use the separate folders for when the jobs come back from proof and need changes. After I know the job has left the building I delete the folder. Every once and a while I go through the library and clean out all the missing fonts as well.
Speed doesn't kill, rapidly becoming stationary is the problem

I'd rather have stories told than be telling stories of what I could have done.

Quote from: digital@sig-1.com on October 25, 2010, 08:37:58 AMI just keep a folder on my desktop labeled "Live job Fonts." I add fonts there by folder per job (i.e. 11565_Fonts). Then I drag-and-drop to FEX. They remain active while the job is live. Once it comes off press, I remove from FEX and delete the folder from "Live Job Fonts."

whoa! deja vu
"There's been a lot of research recently on how hard it is to dislodge an impression once it's been implanted in someone's mind. (This is why political attack ads don't have to be true to be effective. The other side can point out their inaccuracies, but the voter's mind privileges the memory of the original accusation, which was juicier than any counterargument ever could be.)"
