Can someone open this and save as a CS3 or 4 ai file? It tells me it was created with a new version but gives me the option to import into AI CS4 but it looks like crap. Possibly it is just crap but if someone with AI CS5.5 can open it maybe it looks better.

By looking like crap I mean it looks like this when I import it into AI CS4.

I just opened it in CS5 and it still looks like that.

OK. Thanks. Was just wondering if the import was screwing it up. Kind of looks like the ink saving font in places and then the not so smooth curves are probably a "design".

sorry, just looked at it again... crappy, looks like someone did a "live trace' and didn't get a good outline.

It looks like it was "traced".

A friend in need indeed. Preparing for the bang later?

P.S. Maybe they used a script version of the eco font posted earlier.

Nah, they don't want us to mess with their masterpiece. It's supposed to look that way according to the designer. Fine, if they are going for "looking like shit" they've nailed it.

Thanks anyway.

It also may have been a WMF at some point. I've seen similar garbage from WMF to Illy.

The designer got a little snooty when it was mentioned it looked horrible.
