Definitely. You have to stick it under their noses.

I've always said, I can fit anything you want into any space you want, but I can't guarantee you'll be able to read it when I do. I once did a newspaper ad in 4 pt. condensed type because the customer wouldn't pay for anything larger than a 1 column by 1 inch.

Sounds like one of those companies that give employees fancy titles rather than raises.

Also, unless you're trying to sell your house, take house pix on an angle or don't include the whole house if you're going to post them. Makes your house less identifiable. I've seen real estate listings that don't even have a full-on front view. Can't be too careful these days.

Try E-Bay? I know people used to sell toner there. It's at least one of the reasons that Xerox started limiting the number of toners a customer could get at one time.

Now nobody from his old workplace can bother him. During the Covid unemployment bonanza, I switched from a Mac Mini running 10.6 to a brand new Dell. A couple years later it was nice to be able to tell my old boss that no, I wasn't interested in doing work for him from home for his new business and I didn't have the software anymore anyway.

Xitron seems to be helpful, at least they were several years ago when we had a Harlequin RIP so old it was running on a Mac G3. We wanted to update the software and the owner wouldn't spring for a whole new version but we needed the password from the old version. Xitron finally went to the engineering department to dig out something. At any rate, they got us updated.

I used to send jobs to two different Xerox models and a Xante envelope printer, and we were running Windows 8, if IIRC. No really sophisticated jobs, though.

Adobe Acrobat / Re: Update to Acrobat caused problems

Upgrade, update - getting to be dirty words. If Adobe and a few other companies spent half the time making sure their update or upgrade worked with common software that is usually used with them as the poor users spend trying to just do their job after the upgrade, there would be a lot less hairpulling.

Nobody is smart enough to ask the printer how they want art or data supplied, are they? I never had the pleasure of working for a place that charged extra for the extra work to straighten crap out, but I bet the customers would have howled if they were billed for what it actually costs for their laziness.

I have had to spend over four hours on a tee shirt design, first trying to get it so that it could be delineated in Illustrator, then cutting it down from six colors to three because they didn't want to pay for six.

It's always fun trying to decide what color to make people's faces when your only choices are red, green and white. Boy, I was tempted....

Note to Adobe: they can't sell me something anyway.
