I know Kodak either has or had a storefront that was part of Insite. I think it was called 'KODAK INSITE Storefront 6.0" but I can't find out if it is still out there or not. It isn't listed as part of Insite over on Kodak's website. What I did find on the Kodak site is info for EFI Digital StoreFront and it says Kodak is an authorized reseller of EFI Digital StoreFront, eCommerce Web to Print Software. Does that mean Kodak no longer has their Insite Storefront and they are selling this instead?

And if anyone is doing any digital storefronts for business cards and stuff like that what web 2 print software are you using for it?

we use four 51 where the customer inputs the data and you download pdfs?

I think your talking about something else, sorry!

Joe

Thanks for the reply Tracy...

Is that for business cards, invitations, etc...?

Digital Storefront...Web2Print is a couple of names I've heard used.

Not sure where it is coming from but they came up today and out of the blue said hey we'd like to see about getting a digital storefront setup so customers can order products and then we create them from that info.

Me:  :zounds:

I know Kodak used to have something integrated into Insite but I think they discontinued it.

I remember them talking it up as a great <insert buzzword here> that will <insert buzzword here> and have a great ROI. We inquired about the cost and promptly told them to F off with that.

I did find out they stopped producing Insite Storefront at the end of 2014 because the cost of developing for an OS above Windows 2003 Server was not worth it. They are now selling EFI's storefront. Anyone using that? I'm not really concerned about the price. Money isn't an issue (since it isn't mine  :rotf:  ).

We use Four51 for repeat customer business cards, a template is given and the customer
inputs their data and we download the pdfs. no typesetting

I still do typesetting of BC's tho
I will ask and see what else they do.

Tracy

Found out that they can do many different print items
also can be used for ordering other things, don't understand that part tho.

Joe

Thanks for the info Tracy.

We had Kodak's StoreFront at the previous place since they loved throwing tons of money at the Big K. It was a pain in the balls to use, glad it's dead! I'll PM you the place we just switched to at the current shop if ya want. We've only been on it for about a month or so, but it seems pretty easy to get things up and running and their support staff (so far) has been amazing.
A little diddie 'bout black 'n cyan...two reflective colors doin' the best they can.

Joe

Yes send it to me. Thanks Slappy.

DSF is an EFI product.

Joe

Yes DSF is EFI. Kodak is a reseller of it that I assume that can be integrated with Prinergy.

Joe, we bought Xmpie with their Ustore thing.
Originally we purchased Freeflow that automates back end of moving files from web store front but it turned out to be a turd so I convinced them to buy bundle, Switch/Pitstop Server and Quite Hot imposing.
Now I am automating backend for web2Print as well as automating offset prepress, amazing stuff.

By the way there is a way to connect Prinergy/Insite with Switch, though I don't want to go there yet.

Joe, here there is a discussion about various product customization storefronts such as Xmpie, EFI and Four51. You have to refer about the best web to print software companies where you can get more powerful features and get new ideas in the depth as per your requirement with demo.
