Hope you like this one, it's been called a 'gamechanger' by some of our beta testers.
A new way to create and edit Action Lists, it actually shows you what is going on directly in the PDF file.

Nice - can't wait to use it next time we upgrade in 5 years!
Anybody familiar with Variable sets?
Was going to try and create a round corner action, but it is asking for the variable set
Which I assume is the round corner I want, but not sure where to create the variable set.
Nevermind!!! there is an action that you can set the corner right in there
actually it wouldn't hurt to know about variable sets if anyone knows!
From (poor) memory... Variable sets contain one or more variables that can be referenced in an action list. There can be more than one variable set, however only one variable set can be applied/active at a time.

Thanks Swampy!
I need to shift the even pages, quick way to do it in pitstop?
Never mind, Got it!
Glad we could help. :rotf: :sarcasm:
 Got a really messed up government job-bad files, lots o fixin to do.
It's like 100 mini jobs in 1 job - yay me!
on another note, I got some files with really messed up media boxes
that are not fixing in pitstop, I will keep trying but any ideas?
How are you trying to fix them in Pitstop?
I do not like the Design Layout panel so I used the Edit Page Boxes with Inspector. Once I get the first page setup how I need I then do the "Apply these page boxes to all pages" which will only work correctly as long as all pages in the PDF have the same pages boxes. If some are different this will screw up the pages that are different in the PDF.
These pdfs are so jacked up can't use the inspector
I'm having to run them thru indesign to fix the boxes!
each one of these 100 jobs is lots of pages and messed up!!!!
and yes they have different size jobs within each pdf!!
and the media box doesn't match any size!
HELP ME!!!
Maybe you should take a sick day?
Nice to see you are embracing underline. :rotf:
and ALL CAPS
with exclamations...
hope we don't run out of those!
 I'll start rationing
Is there any way to set the media box from the crop box?
Holy Cow! Not sure why it worked but in the Design layout panel it fixed my problem!

Yes.
Do you create an action?
Don't see how you can do that with the inspector
Yes with an action.
Sheesh! That might be a little quicker than using the design layout!
Thanks!
These files are so messed up, I can't change the way I'm doing it - Boo!
I'm might still figure it out tho, we'll see
Sounds like fun. You get all of the neat stuff!
You want some?
Actually got it going ok, fixing all in pitstop
and learning pitstop more as I'm going along!
Well I wish I had some but I don't like to steal anyone's thunder so keep right on going there. You're doing a great job!
If you could share it would be a good topic for the monthly PitStop webinar?
Definitely a good example of a bad file, I will check into it!
Don't think they will let me share it, I will check tho, just in case
Military schematics for Aircraft, It has destruction instructions right on it.
as long as it's not US aircraft, I would share...
:rotf:

I use DLP quite a bit. It's great.
Been using it a lot myself lately!
The thing I use on a daily basis is getting rid of marks
and adding new marks the way I want them!

I use the Remove Printer Marks often. I do not need or want any marks on my PDF's.
That's interesting! I think I would feel naked without them
I set up all the digital pdfs the same way, so my page boxes are exactly the same
relink to all my typical templates, links up perfectly no moving anything!
I do that with the page boxes...hence no need for marks.
But mostly we tell ALL customers to not put any marks on their files because their files are usually wrong so no marks are better than wrong marks. First thing I do with all customer supplied PDF's that have marks ===> Remove Printer Marks action. Then fix the page boxes.

Or fix the page boxes, then remove anything outside the bleed box? Then you can remove art box and redefine the crop, bleed, media boxes to fit whatever standard you used based off of the trim box.

Usually the marks are outside the trim box even if the page boxes are wrong so removing the printer marks first usually works. But there are times when there is no trim box. In those cases I do fix the page boxes first and then remove the marks that are then usually outside of the trim marks...
...but not always as some customers put marks in the live work area. Then it becomes a manual process to remove the marks.
Or those ones with manually created marks!
uh, thanks for helping!

That's how i used to work also, back in the printshop.
Marks inside work area are were usually corel pdf's immutable to pitstop actions therefore...
