I can't get an image into photoshop
Joe had a solution I can't find
with pitstop select the image
and under resample he does something I can't remember
I think change resolution by 1 point
is it downsample or subsample?
and mine is defaulted on 72 dpi

David

re-sample down by 1.
so if it's 72, re-sample to 71.
What error message is it giving you?

Try this:
"There's been a lot of research recently on how hard it is to dislodge an impression once it's been implanted in someone's mind. (This is why political attack ads don't have to be true to be effective. The other side can point out their inaccuracies, but the voter's mind privileges the memory of the original accusation, which was juicier than any counterargument ever could be.)"

Tracy, the default number is not the res of the image. Click the image tab Properties to see the actual res of the image you have selected. Then under re-sample change to 1 less than what it showed under properties.

Oh, if the resample doesn't work  it's probably because of either a spot color in it or it is an NChannel image. Resampling does not fix that issue.

yeah, depending on the error message...
if it's a color space issue, sometimes you can change it with Pitstop, and there are others that are fixable, but then there's a few you just can't fix unless you have a BFH.

If it's a B & W image convert to grayscale. If it's color convert to CMYK and it should open then.

Sometimes if I remove the compression, using PitStop, the image will then open with Photoshop.

"bad code array" is never a good thing.

just another reason why you can't do jack with it...

@Tracy, anyway you could post (or send it to me via FTP or whatever) the problem page so I can get a look at it? Doesn't have to be anything special, you can delete anything that may be sensitive content (just need the pdf with the image in question really).

oh yeah, don't need any bleeds...

Is the image indexed CMYK? If so then resample the image by a few dpi then use the touch up tool to open it in PhotoShop.
