I hope the session is understandable. I tried to build up the variables to explain what is possbile and how they can be used.

Did this make sense?

Anyone learn anything new?

Just interested as this is quite an advanced topic

I need to check it out again
making the trim box from a die line was very interesting.
Quite a bit of it was above my pay grade tho

Yes it made sense and the Smart Preflight is pretty slick. I'm not sure though of any way I can take advantage of it though since the customers upload through Insite and the pages are preflighted with the basic Prinergy preflight profiles and refined automatically where the customer than approves them...sometimes before we even have a chance to look at the files. To use these we would have to not let Prinergy do its own preflight and refine until after we could do some of these options. I mean it would sure be nice to make sure the pages are correct before going into Prinergy but it's not a luxury we have.

But again...those are very impressive!

Doesn't prinergy have the ability to advanced preflight using pitstop actions? I don't know if it works with insite but I have seen the option in EVO (not that I've gotten it to work correctly).

Not that I have ever seen. I've even requested Kodak to license the Pitstop preflight for Prinergy. Please point me to where you see this feature.

the only options I have for Preflighting in Prinergy is to turn on (or off, as the case may be) the features Kodak thinks you need.

I have an advanced preflight option and a custom profile. Not that I have gotten it to work as I want but I do have an advanced preflight option.

Yeah I also have an "Advanced Preflight". However, my idea of "Advanced Preflight" differs greatly from that of Kodak. And I can't find anything in mine about Pitstop actions. You would see me doing backflips if I did.
