i left my job for a while...
when i came back my machine is a dual quad core intel w/ 16gb of ram.

its very fast...but for all the ram, what can i do?
for having the processors, the speed does not blow me away.
The last G5 i worked on with 1.5gb of ram is no dog. Still quick compared.

Some kick ass filters in Photoshop.

Have lots and lots of applications running at the same time.

Send it to me if you aren't happy with it.

And welcome back.

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth dude! I'd LOVE to see a machine with 16 gigs ram!!!! CS3 needs 2 gigs ram to run - how much ram for CS4? Don't have CS4 yet, but we already have a client who does, so we'll need to get it soon. It seemed like it was overnight when everyone started to submit CS3 files, and was difficult to upgrade all of the machines to catch up - and here we are again with CS4.
I live by Murphy's Law - I'm sure he must have been in printing.

No...I got ya. Don't get me wrong...Very Thankful!!

Just 16gb...seems like I should be doing movie production.
Yeah, my boss wanted to be ready for the future apps and stuff.
Something to grind on giant files....and it does.

Thanks Joe!
later dudes back to work...

I've have heard that too much ram can slow you down. Not always a good thing. Your machine does sound like one hell of a video creator/editor. Tell your boss the new apps are Final Cut Pro, After Effects and DVD Studio Pro. :cheesy:
