I've been waiting for a year for the nexus 10.2. This might be my xmas present.

Though my nexus 7 and galaxy tab 10.2 work just fine. I do have issue with the no expandable memory in the nexus devices. Not everyone lives in the world of broadband.

I was wondering about the Nexus 10. Have they discontinued that one?

Iirc they are out of stock on the older nexus 10. There has been endless speculation on the new version and still is. Is the 10.2 going to be the nexus 8? the nexus 9? I don't think anyone outside Google really knows.

The Nexus 9 has been announced as seen above. A 9" tablet. Well actually 8.9" but still...and wouldn't a Nexus 8 be an 8" tablet. Seems unlikely seeing as how the have the older Nexus 7 and now the new Nexus 9. If you google Nexus 10 and follow the link to the Google Nexus 10 it takes you to a page about the Nexus 5, 6, & 9. Which leads me to believe the Nexus 7 and 10 are history.

Quote from: Farabomb on October 16, 2014, 10:38:23 AMThere is a bit of confusion out there.

http://au.ibtimes.com/articles/544578/20140324/nexus-8-10-2-release-date-specs.htm#.VD_vHCldU_c

Is it a 8? a 9? not sure.

That article is from last March. Google announced the Nexus 9 yesterday.

Been busy, didn't really check the date. Guess the nexus 10.2 won't be coming out then.

I don't see any reason really to upgrade. The nexus 7 was released with future development planned but they shitcanned that.

Out of my 4 android devices I use the galaxy s3 the most. It's the oldest device but still has no issues. If I want a bigger screen I get my 7. If I want to watch something I plug in my laptop.

Agreed. My wife has a Galaxy Tab and it it is good enough for now. Of course the warranty expired a month ago so it will probably die any day. If I would have to get something else for her I would probably look to an ASUS or Acer tablet. They are close to as good as Google, Samsung or Apple without the hefty markup for the brand name.

It appears it will not. Of course rumors all Apple will come out with a 13" tablet so if they do everyone else will follow in their footsteps.

My nexus 7 is an ASUS and it's great.

I agree, the non nexus tabs offer more options (like a friggin sd slot) but the downside is possible limited development if it's not popular.

Looks like my Nexus & is getting Lolipop so there is even less reason to upgrade.

i have (2) 32gb 1st gen 7's. they are awesome. i stream media from a NAS so the storage is plenty, would like an sd slot though.

one of the tablets micro usb jack is getting sloppy though, hoping theres a simple fix.
