Fujifilm XMF / Re: Overlapping pages lose bleed
August 23, 2024, 10:42:36 AM
Agreed on your first comment!

We have customers that demand a 1 up proof for a box.
They don't like proofing imposed sheets with sometimes upside-down boxes.

We are also trying to send pdfs that come directly out of xmf as proofs.
When we impo in ID, which we have been and continue to do then grabbing the 1 up pdf from the art folder for proof is not the pdf that went into xmf.

Fujifilm XMF / Overlapping pages lose bleed
August 23, 2024, 08:20:47 AM
We are trying to "nest" boxes in XMƒ by overlapping the pages in the impo.
We are losing bleed where they overlap. Does anyone know how to override this to allow bleed?
You can see the Green bleed line and there is art extended but does not work when overlapping.

Fujifilm XMF / Re: Transparency RIP Issue
August 22, 2024, 06:26:17 AM
I flattened the file and that worked.
Also, turning off trapping worked as well.

My real question is:
Is anyone aware of an ongoing known issue? Fuji has some sort of case opened with Adobe regarding this.

Fujifilm XMF / Transparency RIP Issue
August 21, 2024, 09:43:55 AM
We have been using XMF for 5 years and it's been pretty solid.
But this week we had a page that was multi up of the same thing and pages ripped differently.
I have never seen this on any RIP in my career.
I'm told that Fuji has a case with Adobe.
Anyone know anything about this issue?

Aaron,

For ColorPath Organizer we have both Coated and Uncoated Media profiles for both of our presses as well as Linear.

So we got 2 new cartridges in to test and the P9000 was happy with the new cart. so we're good there.
The 9900 rejected the cartridge so it looks like service is needed on that device.

(Coincidentally it is VLM ink acting up on 2 different model printers)

CMS - Proofing - Printers / Epson Ink Cart Not Recognized
February 16, 2023, 10:26:55 AM
We have both Epson 9900 and P9000 for contract color.
Frequently ink cartridges that have been use become unrecognized by the either printer.
Sometime reseating them help temporarily.
We use always use Epson inks.

Anyone else have this problem?

Adobe Acrobat / RGB to Gray action
February 14, 2023, 12:03:40 PM
I'm building an action from scratch trying to get better at it.
I do not see a specific action to convert an image from RGB to Gray or RGB to CMYK.

Should be set to "On", correct?

Late 2013 iMac 27 on Catalina
Fresh Catalina install after wiping the drive clean
Fresh Adobe CC install including Acrobat DC 2022
After installing Pitstop 2022 it does not show up in the tools in Acrobat nor can I find evidence that it is installed except for the Applications>Local License Manager with today's date.
I tried installing 2021 version but it would not install because there is a new version already installed.
I don't know what I am missing.

Fujifilm XMF / Re: Marks in the work warning
August 13, 2020, 10:01:46 AM
Thank you all for the input.
I do see now that it does warn you when you save in the imposition window.
Also tested if it warns if you go back in. It only warns you if you hit save in the impo window. If you hit cancel I do not believe it warns you.
Also, I have seen that if you are just saving the job after the impo it does not warn you.
Although the pink dialog with warning is different fro the pink dialog in the impo warnings.

I'm referring to the imposition.
We had a situation where a sheet size was changed which resulted in press sheet mark ended up in the live area.
Not talking about a pdf.

Does/can xmƒ warn if marks are touching the work?
