i agree - clean out in pre-press seems a more logical approach to me
now for us, we use ONE plate size only - its the BOARD size that changes
so my question regarding precessless (pro-T or kodak etc)
plate size is 1030 x 800
board size is 600 x 400
when cleaning out on press, where does the debris from the plate go - that is OUTSIDE of my board size? (ie: i have 700mm left to right excess and 400 mm off back edge - where does the coating go coz it cant go on the board)
this is one reason that pushed me to chem free thermal - no light issues at all, cleaned out plate, no chemistry changes on press - no nuffink

Good to hear from you. It will require a clean out unit that does two things, it has a preheat section to harden the plate and then a gum solution to clean and protect the plate. Exposure will have to be set up for this particular emulsion. After clean out it is no longer white light sensitive and the plate has excellant contrast.
Best regards,
Mark
