Epson 9800 cannot be cleaned

Sure, send me pm I will try 9600 service manual. Anyway, After all my hard work for 3 days it was OK for 3 days. That's it - I had it! I am throwing it out and buying new 9880. Not that I love Epson 98x0 or even 78x0 series but I don't have much choice. If HP Z would have 17" wide printer I would buy it and use it as I have already Z2100 44". Canon IPF series is not bad but gmg doesn't like them. So I am stuck with Epson again.

Like I said earlier, the inks used on the 9800 apparently are very fast drying, causing the problem. If I were you I'd bring the issue up with a rep and make sure the 9880 uses a different ink.

Jim, I agree but at the moment there is not much choice. Epson inks are the best inks out there as much as I don't like Epson large format printers. I am hoping that 9880 new AMC printhead is better than 9800? I like bigger gamut with new magentas also. Anyone has experience with both running on the same rip? How do the compare?
