One more question for UpFront gurus out there
Is used in planning and we don't even touch it (gladly)
We get jobs and templates in Preps exported from UpFront
The problem happen when when we have single cuts and the fold marks print on the job, making the single cut too hard to guillotine.
We though need to have he fold mark on for all the other jobs.
Is there any way you can remove the fold mark on single exported to preps jobs, instead of putting 0 in the preferences?

I have a problem with the acrobat simulation profile default in Output preview
Acrobat 8 keeps having RGB (1998) as default No matter which one I pick, restart Acrobat, keeps using that default simulation, for every pdf I open.
Any idea??

I have trouble understanding this one
On the Pdf I hope is attached I have a 10% Cyan grid that prints no problems
Where the graph show the Bath and Pwr there is a thin grid 100% K
In Illustrator and Pitstop the stroke show 0 width but still prints on laser and Epson
When printed to plate the lines are so thin that is impossible to print, but they are still there
I understand that laser and Epson smudge so the lines appear to be thicker
What I don't understand it is why it prints even if the stroke is set to 0 width

We have 2 Nexpress and Prinergy 4
In Perth there is a Kodak tutoring problem (among others)
At the end of the story, if you have questions, you have to work it out by yourself!
Is there anyone who has the same combination Digital-Workflow?
How do you do it?
Can you do variable data direct from Prinergy?
Can you use Prinergy refine engine for Nexpress?
What is the most efficient use of the two together?

I know that it is vague but you ask questions and I try to answer them. I know I can get something more from you guys than from any other!

Live rates at 2008.09.14
744.00 AUD = 607.719 USD

I get paid overtime but it is now very rare
20 years in pre-press and 49 years of age
Am I, in your opinion, getting a fair wage?
I am considering the cleaning business

Here is another one for you gurus
When in Pitstop 7.something and doing a Spot Global colour change, the colour becomes a tint instead of a solid as it was before.
I'll try to explain better
I want to change a solid 100% magenta stroke with a Spot colour from a created repository document spot called Diecut.
Grab colour to change, global change it to Diecut and voila, the change is done but the diecut line is now 60 or 70% tint of the Diecut colour and not 100% 
Any work around?

I have a very crazy problem with Pitstop 7.2 registration
I used to have acrobat 7 and pitstop.
We upgraded to acrobat 8, removed pitstop plug-in from 7, removed the pitstop 7 preferences from library and installed pitstop in acrobat 8
So far so good
It work for an hour or so and, as for magic, is asking the registration code again
You do it, works for some time and than, wham, there you are again
Does anyone have any idea of why?
It seems that it is seeing the plugin in 7, but is not there any more
I want to keep acrobat 7 for another bit longer just in case I have problems with 8
All the preferences in the Library (user and System) I could think of have being removed
