Title: Pitstop 2020 Action sorting
Post by: Joe on November 04, 2020, 11:40:19 AM
Somewhere along the Pitstop upgrade path in the last 2 or 3 versions my actions got sorted to some ridiculous order and I can't find a way to resort them. Any way to do this? Like maybe alpha-numerically? Or something that makes a little bit of sense?

Are you talking in your favorites or local?

You can drag them around in those folders not sure about the standard ones

Specifically I am talking about the Enfocus folders which I see has a padlock on them making them read only but the sort order in them sucks. :rotf: See attached.

Yes the folders I have created for my own actions I can drag around and change the order. It would be nice if they had a sort feature so you didn't have to manually drag them around. But in the Enfocus folders you can't even do that.

PS: I think the Enfocus folders used to be sorted alphabetically.

I think you are onto something.
Mine look the same as yours, however if I check 2019 version, it is sorted alphabetically (see screenshot).
I did not find way to re-sort them.

Thanks for the info. It's always good to have confirmation that I'm not totally crazy.

Let's not completely rule that out...

Well I'm still in printing so the jury is still out.

It does get a bit confusing when you update, I just updated so I lost my favorites
and my local folder is kind of big, just making favorites as I need them
being able to sort them the way you want to would be nice.

I submitted the issue to Enfocus support. Haven't heard back from them yet.

I did get an email back from them a little bit ago asking where the Enfocus Action Lists are located and they said where they should be. Well they are not where they say they should be but they are where the Enfocus installer put them. :D

I wasn't aware they had changed order, will have a look.
This wasn't intentional, it must have been a side effect of something else.

Is there a method of uninstalling Pitstop 2020 and re-installing fresh without losing custom action lists, global changes, and preflight profiles?

I ask because the Enfocus support person said:

The default location would be Mac:

/Library/Application Support/Enfocus/PppEalDb/

I do have the '/Library/Application Support/Enfocus/' folder but no subfolder in there named 'PppEalDb'.

The only thing in that folder is a folder named 'EnfocusSubscriptionService'.

The Enfocus supplied Action Lists that are there when you install Pitstop are buried within the Pitstop plug-in app at '/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Acrobat/DC/Plug-ins/Enfocus/PitStop Pro.acroplugin/Contents/Resources/PitStop Pro Resources/Action Lists'.

Enfocus support provided the solution. You have to click the little magnifying glass in the Action List search box to get the dropdown menu and then select  'Keep Sorted'.

So it's a "feature" not "bug"  ;)
This worked for me.

Thanks Joe

Yeah a well hidden feature. I would have never found it on my own.
