Bleed expand etc...

I just fudged a pic at the foot of a page, which had no bleed. [GD forgot to fix it on a "fix" round]. Checked out the boxes in Wireframe; no extra image to unmask...so tweaked the pic by expanding it a few % in order to pull some bleed off the bottom. You'd have to have it pointed out for anyone to see it.
Anyone do this on a regular basis? Curious...    :undecided:

Secondary question. I added bleed to some flat tint boxes. Can someone confirm that this is a different scenario. I.e., Pitstop is automatically adding the extra tint to the expanded 3mm, correct? Fundamentally different to an "image" manipulation...[ stretch...whatever].
