Kodak Preps / Re: prep 5.3.3 window installer

Quote from: lemonhill on December 02, 2024, 06:44:31 PMYou are correct DigiCorn, for Mac version you need OS 9 and lower. I have a license and dongle for PC that run on
window 7.
You do not have to have OS 9 to run Preps 5.3.3.

Quote from: DigiCorn on December 02, 2024, 06:13:23 PMCorrect me if I am wrong, but doesn't Preps 5.3.3 need OS 9 or lower to run?
We never used Preps on OS 9 and the first version we ever got was 5. We used it on OS X. We started using Preps 5 in 2009 so the OS X version around that time was Leopard, Snow Leopard, Lion etc...

ugh!
When you uninstall I don't think it deletes your 3rd party plugins but I'm not sure it will recognize them after installing Acrobat again. You can try copying them to your desktop before uninstalling them. After installing Acrobat copy them back to where they were. Acrobat should see them once you start Acrobat.

Not sure if this will help or not:

Download Adobe Acrobat Pro or Adobe Acrobat Standard

acro problem?

This is my main computer with pitstop, can't afford to not have acro
does anyone have the current acro .dmg?

Not sure there is a simple DMG for Acrobat. Did you trying turning on auto update in Acrobat and then trying to update under the help menu?

Quote from: DigiCorn on November 22, 2024, 12:07:26 PMKeep in mind if you do that, you'll have to reinstall PitStop, FusionPro, Quite Imposing and/or any plugins you've been using. You'll also lose any customization, so if you're programmed any fixups or created any profiles, you'll want to export those so you can re-import them later.
The better way forward may be to turn auto update back on until it updates to the latest version. You don't lose anything that way other than a piece of your soul.

Only one way to find out. Are you having an issue with the one you have now?

You may have been prompted to update Acrobat before but that was coming from Acrobat. Not the CC app.

Bad news about the memory. It only gets worse. :o

Quote from: Tracy on November 22, 2024, 08:13:24 AMOk I do have auto updates off, I will try turning it on and updating
I use to update through creative cloud, you can no longer do that

I can uninstall from there but not sure if I can reinstall, that was a good tip
I will put that in my pocket  ;D
Acrobat has never updated via the CC app. It was either auto update in the dead of night or update through Acrobat.

Back in my day you could uninstall/reinstall via the CC app. I doubt that has changed.

Because Adobe doesn't care if you come into work some morning and Pitstop no longer works. >:(

Quote from: DigiCorn on November 21, 2024, 03:37:48 PMFor Adobe Suite, you have to have the Creative Cloud app installed, and you can check for updates from there.
Unless that has changed since I retired the updates for Acrobat were never through the CC app. Always either auto updated in the dead of night or you had to go to the help menu to check for updates.
