I take offense to that! One of my primary school teaches was abusive!

Quote from: Joe on April 10, 2024, 08:48:32 AMTeam Viewer won't work if it determines you are trying to login to a business. I tried it from home and it flagged the workplace I was trying to login to as a business and would not allow the connection. Not sure how they determine if it is a business or not though.
What? They need to make money too? Its a conspiracy!

Quote from: DigiCorn on April 05, 2024, 04:27:44 PMor using prepress fixups?I have some site plans that are 34x22 but we need the files to be 17x11. I need to create an action or create a prepress fixup to reduce it.
Quite Imposing does things like this very well. Essential plugin for my toolbox.

Quote from: Joe on March 20, 2024, 12:14:41 PMI think I jinxed myself by getting into this thread. Yesterday my old Prepress manager called asking for some help with Prinergy.  :o
Told ya they would eventually call, told ya!   ;D

Yes, loved dealing with Dan, he did many remote installations and tech support over the years.

If we hadn't purchased the "blue box" from Xitron we wouldn't have gotten many extra years in running our older Screen CTP unit.

They have always been very good to us as well. After dealing with Agfa Apogee X for about 7 years, it's been a lot better with Xitron. At least for a small shop with basic needs, anyway.

Interesting, thanks. When I have a slowdown in the action here I will give them a call. My first reaction was it was only for Inkjets but I could be wrong.

Sometimes, lately, i have had to rip pdfs in photoshop then save them as pdfs to get them through the Konicas, same principle perhaps?

Soooo... i took a shot in the dark and contacted Xitron, the maker of our Harlequin CTP rip to see if the rip could rip up the jobs and and dump them into the Konicas somehow and they tell me it can be done. NOTE: I contacted their SALES department so all may be suspect. I will call them tomorrow. The harlequin rip is having no ripping issues with newer pdfs at this point. It is pretty up to date.

C1080 and 6500, both Bizhubs. The 1080 has a rip, quite old though. The 6500 uses Job Centro. Not really a rip, fiery does not recognize it.

We're having a lot of problems with pdfs these days on our Konica printers.

They are both on Windows 7, one has an older fiery rip and the other one only has a controller, no rip.

Has anyone ever used one computer (with an updated rip) to send jobs to more than one printer? I know with CWS you can add many printers if they have a rip. We do have fiery XF server running for our epson and I can connect to that and also the Konica that has a rip.

Am I whistling dixie here?
