Got a creo refined pdf that is huge, apparently it's got a proprietary alternate 'creo_AlternateView' image in it that I can't remove. Anyone seen this before?

Any idea how to turn this off in the normaliser, or what its doing there in the first place?

Joe

Never heard of it but if want to send it to me I can try taking it through Prinergy and see if it can get rid of the 'creo_AlternateView'...whatever that is.

Thanks Joe, it's huuugggeee.

The original magazine PDF is nearly 300 pages and it's 1.7gb

I broke it down into single pages and we could see that some pages were unusually large, when we investigated the PDF structure we found this extra creo image.

The document was refined with the Creo Normaliser JTP

It's almost like it's keeping a copy of the original file after refining, but I have never come across this before.

Just interested really as it seems really strange to me.

Joe

Sounds like it might have came from an older RIP. In recent versions of Prinergy the normalizer is not listed as Creo.

I thought that might be the case, thanks for the feedback
