We need to create about 200 unique codes. Also, they need to be easily identifiable so we know what code goes with what. Any easy way to do this?

Thanks, but maybe I am reading that wrong, that looks like it's adding a existing QR code to a layout using Data Merge. I'm looking for a way to batch create the codes. We did find an online source to do it, https://high-qr-code-generator.com/bulk-qrcode.html. I just hate using those rogue sites.

You are reading it wrong. The article describes using a list and DataMerge to generate QR codes from data.

If your desired final result is 200 individual PDFs, it is possible using the DesignMerge method combined with a couple other tricks (export as a multi-page PDF, then use Acrobat to split the 200-page PDF into 200 single-page PDFs, then a little AppleScript to rename them as desired.) I do this quite frequently.

DCurry,
If you do this often, you may want to look at https://colecandoo.com/scripts/
It has a free version and a pro version of a script that will not only output as individual pages, but will rename the file based on a field/s of your choosing.

We use https://www.tec-it.com/en/software/barcode-software/barcode-creator/barcode-studio/Default.aspx

to generate individual PDFs from a CSV-File exportet from Excel. (Or LibreOffice calc or whatever it's named)

maybe gonna try the Indesign method tho, looks interesting :o

Looks cool. Not sure it would work for me - I don't actually use InDesign's Data Merge, but instead use HP SmartStream which is a VDP plugin. Also use the server version of SmartStream called Composer to generate my merged content. Looks like it would work for DHG, though!
