It could be worse – much, much worse. I just read a news blurb about Alphagraphics and a few other chain printers "entering into partnership" with Quark, Inc. Woo hoo! Do I feel bad for the people who work in those shops! Is that like the Coke vs Pepsi war of the printing industry? Not allowed to use the competition (InDesign)?

Thank god we no longer do work for Alphagraphics. I'm still trying to get one of our better clients to shitcan quark.
Speed doesn't kill, rapidly becoming stationary is the problem

I'd rather have stories told than be telling stories of what I could have done.

Hey, I got to use Quark 8 for the first time, and you know what, IT SUCKED!!

I go off on two days of vacation and came back to find my Quark upgraded.
One thing I hated right off the bat was when I placed a psd file that contained a adjustment layer and the picture box went white.
It seems the adjustment layer on top of the image blocks the image from showing. I'm not impressed.
But I do like the green color in the splash window.
