Mordy Golding's "thing". There's a good archive available.

The emails aren't all that frequent.

I bought one of Morty's AI manuals a few years ago when I was learning Illy. One of the "Learn in 24 Hours" series...which took me more like 24 days because I did one chapter every evening. I''d like to read his blog to see if there's anything about dealing with transparency.

Great read frailer. To bad Sep preview is so bare bones. I wonder why they couldn't have included one like in Acrobat and InDesign, including an ink manager.

How about this great feature:

Drag Images from Web Browser directly into Document. If you've ever tried to drag an image directly from a web browser like Safari into Illustrator, you've experienced the frustration that many others face. Illustrator CS4 finally addresses this issue and you can now blissfully drag images directly into AI from your favorite browser.

Whoo hooo! Utter bliss!

So Adobe is actually regressing and going all PAP-style now? WTF would they add this "feature". Anti-prepress?

Adobe hates Prepress. For the love of Joe, why do they forsake us so.... THERE IS NOOOO GOD!

Desingers all over the globe are dancing on our corpses! It's like the final scene in Return of The Jedi!

This is why JDF and full automation will NEVER work! T'anks Adobe! Must be taking lessons from Quark.

Now that they've killed Quark, they become Quark. That's how the dark side operates. Like the post office, they don't care. They don't have to care.

Mordy Golding apparently placing some videos here now. Just got a heads-up. Too whacked...Friday9PM, to actually look...later.

Here's the link, for anyone interested. It's on "Recolor Artwork"; previously known as "Live Paint".

That is a kick ass feature. I used it back around Christmas to teach a customer how to make proper spot's on their Christmas ads.

I can do all that crap in Freehand. A few more mouse clicks, but same damn thing. I am surprised it took Adobe this long to finally incorporate it.

Um... you guys are gushing about the re-jiggered implementation of good ol' Streamline that Adobe added as a module to Illy in CS2, right?

It does, indeed, rock.

No, although Streamline is a cool feature incorporated some time ago into AI, we are referring to the Recolor Art option in Illustrator CS4... watch the video HM.

Got it. This helps explain some of the recent stuff I've been puzzled by in client files. Thanks!

There's a couple of freebie video tutes on Live Paint and Pixels to Vectors. The first few on lynda.com's listings are free as "enticers".

Just got an email from rwillustrator...heads up.

Live Paint video (http://www.lynda.com/home/DisplayCourse.aspx?lpk2=761)  ...plus others.
