I really like the way smart guides worked in every version of Illustrator up to vCS3, but not so much in CS4. You have to hold the apple/command key down to get smart guides to show an intersect or an anchor point. Can be frustrating when doing a copy/transform and you're already holding the shift + option keys. I can't seem to find a preference that makes smart guides work the same as previous versions either.

Ooh - but what about the smart guides in Indesign CS4? THOSE are just too awesome for words...

Freehand could be set up to snap an anchor point to another anchor point AND give you a sound tone when the anchor point was reached! Very handy in manual imposition of cartons to a dieline template.

C'mon, DCS...show us packaging guys some respect.

They are "Folding Cartons", NOT "boxes".

I AM a packaging guy... part time anyway. I have done both "Folding Cartons" and "Box" jobs. The difference being substrate. I have nothing but respect for Packaging guys... 100 times more difficult than the standard 16 pager. Call them what you want, my wayward hunter... they are boxes.  I earned the right to say that, BTW.

Yes you have, and it's very good to see that you do know the difference.
