Uninstalling PitStop Pro on Mac:

First, deactivate your license. You can do this via the PitStop Pro About Panel.
(You can ignore this if you are using a trial.)

Remove the following folder:
If you are using PitStop Pro 13 or lower:
/Applications/Adobe/Adobe Acrobat <version> Pro/Adobe Acrobat Pro.app/Contents/Plug-ins/Enfocus
(You can open Adobe Acrobat Pro.app by right-clicking and choosing "Show Package Contents".)
If you are using PitStop Pro 13, update 1 or higher:
/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Acrobat/<version>/Plug-ins/Enfocus

If you only want to remove PitStop Pro, then the above steps are sufficient.

If you want to install an older version of PitStop Pro, please also follow the next steps:

Open menu Go in Finder and choose the option “Go to Folder…”

Type in the following path:
/var/db/receipts/
and press the Go button.

Search for files named like this and remove them (if available):
com.enfocus.PitStopPro.bom
com.enfocus.PitStopPro.plist

Open the following folder in Finder:
/Library/Application Support/Enfocus/Applications/Installed/

Search for a file named like this and remove it (if available):
PitStopPro<version nr>.man

Empty the trash bin.

Enfocus / reverting to older version of pitstop

Yikes.... my pitstop pro 2021 trial has expired and I am stranded here because I am unable to revert to version 13.

I had gone on the trial because of the recent display problems but forgot and am trying to use the old version we had before but am not able to figure it out. I want to do the "do not update Acrobat" workaround for the time being.

I have googled this to death! HELP!

We sometimes, especially when the printers work with varnish, fill the skirts/borders of the paper with colour, so the paper doesnt curl up/ get wavy.

I obviously could just select my colourbars and delete them, but yeh, i was wondering why i couldnt turn them off.

The reason why i looked at this the first time yesterday: A random Text mark appeared on one job with some 5,000 copies or smth. Customer wasn't too happy.

That is interesting, in English This is the Placed Order of these items
do you have 3 color bars on your sheet?
I never manage anything from here but it is interesting that you can turn some items off and not others

Printing has been very good to me and my wife, and was really-REALLY good to my dad.
That being said, my son is a barista at Charbucks, lol

If you were in your 20s would you get into printing?

Not a chance in hell.
Better paying careers with more opportunities for growth exist today
(for Prepress that is.  Pressmen seem to make a nice hourly wage but the shift work must suck and the working conditions vary greatly from place to place)

Personally I find there are not a lot of places here in Ontario that want to pay more than Ontario's minimum wage for prepress work.
Lots of smaller 'mom n pop' places versus larger print companies.

If you do find something that pays well (something you can pay the bills with and put gas in the car.. if you can afford a car) then you either need to move to an expensive city (Toronto or surrounding parts... Burlington and Hamilton are getting expensive rent wise and home wise)
or commute 45mins - 1hr+ each way. every day.

so again, not a chance in hell.
(been in prepress for 16 years now)

Just did!

EDIT: I'm actually learning design but since we lost a prepress person i took on the duty of XMF and Prepress.

There are a few people learning printing at school, tho! Some even under 20.  I'm almost 30 lol

Hello Agaiiiin

Why are some of these switchable, and some aren't, yet show the checkbox suggesting the theoretically would be?
Any way to activate the Boxes?

This is where you can see the layering of your marks(?) (Marken) and switch off the colour bar, f.e.

... or exactly CAN NOT switch off the colour bar

Damn ... another former employer of mine goes under - I AM THE KISS OF DEATH!  :dev2:

(While I am concerned for my former production co-workers - I wonder how their financials would look if they eliminate that HUGE corporate pork-barrell/payroll out of Chicago!)
