Defining the area can be a real PITA, so the best way to do it is to use the 'Select Area' tool to draw an area around the object(s), and then use the 'grab' option in the Action to grad the dimensions. Much easier and more accurate.

The 'Select Area' tool is one of the 'Edit' tools. It's the third from bottom.

Should be, we didn't change it as far as I can remember.
Select 'within' the area though

Cool, I never knew about the Select Area tool. I had selected the line of type and chose "within or overlapping" to make it work.
