The old "you get what you pay for" scheme.

Adobe InDesign / Re: Export PDF reverse pages?

Also you could do it with an Acrobat preflight profile but I don't have a full blown copy of Acrobat to create one for you. You would need to create a fix up in the profile to reduce the page/content.

Not sure how many files you have to do it too but if you don't have Pitstop you could place the PDF into an InDesign 17 x 11 document and reduce it by 50% when you place it. Then export a new PDF.

So do want to shrink the content too or just change the page boxes? The Acrobat cropping too can change the page boxes. Not sure if there is an Acrobat action for that though. If you need to also reduce the content not sure you can do it with just Acrobat. Pitstop can do it though.

Random Technology / Re: Remote Desktop

For Mac to PC connections I use Microsoft Remote Desktop but you would need to open the ports on your work firewall unless you already have VPS at your workplace setup to allow you to login to your work local network. Once logged into the work local network you could just connect directly to the PC IP address.

If you don't have a VPN or you can't open the correct ports from Microsoft Remote Desktop you can setup a connection via Google Chrome Remote Desktop. You would then connect t via the Google Chrome web browser to the PC that is is running Google Chrome Remote Desktop.

How to move PitStop Pro 09 or higher from one system to another?

Move your preferences and custom Preflight Profiles, Action Lists, Global Changes, ... to the new computer

This can be done easily by copying the following folders to the new system:

Windows
- C:\ProgramData\Enfocus Prefs Folder (if available)
- C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Enfocus Prefs Folder

Mac
- HD: Library: Preferences: Enfocus Prefs Folder (if available)
- HD: Users: <Your user>: Library: Preferences: Enfocus Prefs Folder

The Rest... / Re: Affinity Publisher 1.9

Quote from: jv58 on March 27, 2024, 12:45:40 PMThe game changer here is pledge #3. Giving out the Affinity suite for free to schools and non-profits will create a new generation of users who only know Affinity. It may not happen in my lifetime but this could kill the dynasty that is Adobe. I hope it is successful as Adobe became greedy once they became the only game in town (sorry Quark). Time will tell.
They were always greedy. Their plan was always to destroy their competition and then stick it to the users. Worked like a charm.

It makes me believe there may not even be a version 3. Canva may just swallow the products up by then.

According to the FAQ page it will not change anything in version 2.x. It says nothing about version 3.x though.

Quote from: breadfan on March 25, 2024, 05:08:49 AMThey only have the download available for 7.0 and above so I doubt BSPrint's dongle would work if it was 6.0ish.

Sometimes when a product has been discontinued they remove licensing restrictions. I have no idea if they did that with this product but you could try it and see.

Enfocus / Re: Previous Switch Keys Format
March 22, 2024, 12:32:25 PM
You should just be able to copy/paste the code in the Enfocus license area in Acrobat. I don't recall ever using License Manager so I may be out of touch on this.
