Anybody else have issues with the iGen4 not being able to print on paper that has normal handling indentations?
The little indentations that paper gets through normal handling seem to be the Achilles heel for this machine, turning on the ATA
does does not resolve this problem.  All feedback is appreciated, Thanks.

We use Fiery with Command Workstation as well as XMF. We are running CTP, epson & hp wide formats for proofing offset and a Xerox 800 color press. I impose everything for the 800 in XMF and send imposed PDF's to the 800. Fiery's Pantone library sucks, especially for uncoated colors. I utilize XMF's conversion for jobs going to the 800 or utilize my own custom library for difficult builds.

Digital Printing / Ricoh Pro C7100 - Feedback?
July 14, 2015, 06:18:32 PM
Looking at the Ricoh Pro C7100, currently running the Xerox 800. Anybody have feedback on this machine or other Ricoh "Color Presses" in general? Reliability? Service Response?

Since Fuji will no longer be supporting Rampage my employer is looking at switching over to the XMF system.
Anybody running on the XMF system that used to be on Rampage?
Any pros or cons?
Your feed back is appreciated.

General Prepress / Re: Xerox 700

My experience with Xerox is that your machine will start having more problems than normal around the 2 year  mark of your lease. Then comes the BIG sell to upgrade your machine to fix your problems.
Which means rolling over your existing lease into ANOTHER 5 year lease.
It's a black hole they suck you into and you never get out.

NEVER take what they say at face value, especially concerning what paper you can run. We've been down that road!!

Our machine problems went back to normal levels when we told them since we have a maintenance contract we are going to run it till the wheels fall off. I don't care if your techs are here every day.
Funny how most of our machine issues diminished after that.

We are currently running a 6060 after 4 different 2045's, so now they are trying to sell us an Igen3, I'll post a question about that.
