This is driving me crazy...CC 2017 InDesign on Mac OS 10.12.3 Sierra. Every time you open a document or create a new one the window goes all the way from the edge of the left side of the monitor to the edge of the right side of the monitor. It goes under the toolbar on the left and under the pallets on the right side of the monitor. Deleted prefs. No help. Made sure my toolbar and pallets are anchored instead of floating freely. Still no luck. Have to manually resize it every time.

The words are audible but I have my doubts
That you realize what has been said

That pretty much sums up how I feel about Adobe.

I had to turn on the application frame under Window to get it to stop that in CC 2015/16. I've gotten used to it but its weird for a mac to have a PC like window for the application.

Yeah that is the only work around I have found too. And I hate it.

It is another one of those useless things (application frame) Adobe adds that they think is the greatest thing since the wheel was invented and when Adobe finds out no one wants it they force you to use it or lose some other functionality.

The rage generated over the forced Acrobat DC Home Screen was enough they finally gave us a preference setting to turn that vile thing off. I think that is the only user revolt ever won against Adobe though.

CC2017 of 10.2.3 Sierra here also, but I don't have that ID issue. The only thing I can think of that may be different from you is that I am NOT using GPU because my trashcan Mac isn't powerful enough video-wise.

Where's that setting on DC? I've been looking off and on for months!

GPU setting on or off makes no difference. Some of our Macs don't even have that option. The window behavior is the the same on those too.

Uncheck the box as shown in the attached image in your DC preferences. You may want to also uncheck the two settings a few lines  above that to show online storage when opening and saving files.

THAT'S EXACTLY the option I thought it was on the iMac back at Dome and the Trash Can Mac here at PIP, and it didn't work at either place. I still get the MF,GD Home screen anyway.

You do still get it when you first open acrobat or if you click the icon in the dock when acrobat is already running. You don't get it after you close the last remaining PDF which was the biggest issue with it in the first place.

You are exactly correct, sir. You've earned your stripes today - go have a bowl of Frosted Flakes. On me.

Is there a way to get rid of this thing?
I inadvertently click on it while resizing the window
and there I go online

Joe

You can close the tools to hide it by clicking the triangle shown here. If you need the tools open though there is no way to get rid of it.
