whoa, I just tried using my euro sans std font
and it's doing the same thing!!!!!

Out of curiosity...what is the date created on the font file? (select file and COMMAND+I to Get Info will show this date)

Hmmmm...10 year old font. I've had trouble in OS X with file dates in the 1990's but don't recall anything after 2000 being problematic.

In my searches for this font it seems the free versions are all hosed but I have found the complete font set for $97.60 that "looks" okay in their previews.
