Here ya go - It's in real time too (9 minutes). I think it took longer to preview the job the rip than to work it. lol.
This is a quicktime movie:

Slappy - Don't want to derail here, but his SwatchWatch is awesome too!
You can use it to print out on an entire Pantone Library of you wanted:

This is pretty easy - I'm not to sure how in depth to go on this. I guessing you have the SmartStream Designer (SSD) plugin & documentation? There are a few ways to this, but the easiest & fastest:
Create sequence number in excel, Save as tab text or csv.
Put your art on 3 pages in 1 indd doc.
Use SSD to get the sequence numbers with the Database import
Create the text box, change to variable & insert header, then copy it to the other 2 pages
Impose & output/create jlt or pdf
Definitely do this: Install your variable font at DFE/RIP or use a font already installed as SNAP,
then you can output as Fast jlt, then this will fly thru the DFE/RIP.
It will take like under 60 seconds to rip 10,000 pages.
I could probably put a video together, if this is not making sense...

Adobe InDesign / Re: GrepHeatStyle

Just a thought, could you just constrain you data in another column to be proportional to a range on 1 to 100? I had to do something similar once and someone else had similar problem mrexel.com.
https://www.mrexcel.com/forum/excel-questions/748864-convert-series-numbers-1-5-scale-relative-highest-lowest-2.html

I think this would be for a range of 1 to 100:
=IF(A1="","",CEILING((A1-MIN(A:A)+1)/((MAX(A:A)-MIN(A:A)+2)/100),1))
it would look at column "A" for the largest value to set as 100, then set all values proportional to it.

Still using TextWrangler on my Mac. It's supposed to not be compatible with High Sierra, but it's still working for me. I imagine that BBEdit that they're selling instead, has that preference too where you can see all of the invisible characters. Sometimes I will get mail files too from our mail department, which will have a couple extra returns like this, which produces extra pages for me:

I cant vouch for it, but I came across this site a while back that has a indd plugin:

I had a pretty similar issue on a different digital press - I basically had to convert the Pantone in the filework to process.

Adobe Acrobat / Re: Rename PDF from text in PDF
January 21, 2019, 10:33:10 AM
Wow - I had no idea. This worked too! All of my sub tags came under 1 top level book mark, so it was easy to simply drag them out of it to become all top level, then deleted the original top level bookmark, then it was a simple spit as you detailed.

Adobe Acrobat / Rename PDF from text in PDF
January 11, 2019, 01:28:12 PM
So a have a few hundred pdfs with a code at the bottom right, but I need to rename the pdf by that code. Is that possible? - any easy tools to do that with? So in my attachment, my pdf would need to be renamed 37980-7X7-6427.pdf
The pdf normally has other text & logos in it, but I have removed customer info, just for uploading here

Tim, The job is long and gone, but that was great idea, but all my backgrounds are different. But that gave me an idea for future that I could just do action do draw a box, select the new code & simply make mask too hide the ".pdf"
Joe, I'm a bit confused on what you are meaning by "Or ask ABC to change %Current Document Name%..."

The more I think about it - I guess it's simple enough to select all of the pdf's from the finder right-click and just rename all to remove the .pdf from the filename, the run the action. Then rename all to add the .pdf back.

So I have tons of pdfs that are named by the item code, but it's not on the pdf itself. I know I can do add a text action and use the  %Current Document Name% as a variable, but I don't want to add the ".pdf". If my pdf is named CODE_XYZ.pdf, I want to have CODE_XYZ as the code added to the sign. Anyway to do with pitstop?

Oh jeebus... when I was on my PitStop Server 12, I saw that "Add a Stroke to the Trim Box for Visualization" was there, but not on of my PitStop 12 on my workstation. Turns out, I was on update 2 on my local machine. When I installed update 3, I now have "Add a Stroke to the Trim Box for Visualization"! Looking at how the action is built, It appears "add Background" is the step needed to get this done.
