Thanks Joe, the 3x3 and 5x5 didn't work either, oh boy
very inconvenient for me. I hope there is a fix in the future.

I do have acro X on my computer too, I have CS6 on disk
I have decided to have CS6 and only the latest CC on my computer

Tracy

apparently there may be a fix on the next DC update (hope so)

It depends on if secretaries and lawyers are complaining. If it is prepress complaining they will ignore it. Don't hold your breath as I doubt many secretaries are checking their ink coverage.

see this is why I hate change

I found an adobe forum and I think the guy was from Adobe who said the fix
will come in January's update of DC.
He did state it was a problem with the Retina and DC

Joe

Change is fun! You get to learn what all is wrong before anyone else!

It also makes you the B4P test crash dummy for retina displays. You're welcome!

what the heck, Apple just called and said they are going to replace the hard drive too,
should I be worried? sheesh

Is there anything I can look for to make sure my computer is ok when I go to pick it up?

Just make sure that you and they have an understanding that these issues started BEFORE your AppleCare ran out. And have them start it up while you are there.

The last time they replaced my hard drive they said they couldn't salvage the old stuff so I lost everything. Funny thing was, no not really funny, the hard drive was working fine when I took it in. This was from my 2012 27" iMac. They replaced the logic board twice, the hard drive twice, the video card twice, and some other thing-a-ma-bob once. Then when it started doing it all over again after a week and I threw a tantrum on the phone they finally replaced it with the 2013 27" iMac. They made me work for it though.

I read all of this, and being dead in the water on upgrades until someone OKs it all, the hair stands up on the back of my neck.

Apple care ran out on that one, I think the only reason they are covering it is
because I had the recalled video card, I seriously think the 1st technician
did something wrong and I think they know it.

researching these macs with the recalled parts, I think Apple made some bad computers
at some point and didn't tell the customers, they just let us figure it out for ourselves.

Tracy

and another thing when I took the computer in the 2nd time, the 1st technician
was standing next to my 2nd technician and said, "I worked on that computer
and there was nothing wrong with it when I got done with it" I just said hmmm it's not working

The new computer is working fine, the one in the shop will be my backup computer.
(If it works)

Thanks for listening! I am going to give it my best once over when I go to pick it up.

Tracy

So Apple replace my 3+ year old mac with a new one, got it today
i7 with 2gb video card, I can't believe I have 2 brand new 27" computers right now!!
good things don't usually happen to me that often

Joe

Don't look up. An anvil is probably heading for you right now.
