Mine came up with this attached message and I am on High Sierra. It say the system extension wasn't loaded properly. It's been loaded a long time. Our HP printers are like the Cuban cars that they just fix over and over. We need them to print the barcodes on our PO's. HP has a bar code dimm that Xerox walkup prints don't offer.

After reading that some of yours worked today, I tried and mine printed today, as well. Trend may have been blocking it as someone mentioned.

I don't think Virtual Proof will run on Catalina either. At least that is what Kodak says. Virtual Proof and Preps not being able to run are the deal killers for us.

The delay when you ask it to do something that uses a process plan you mention? Can you elaborate on that? I get a delay anywhere of 5 to 30 seconds if I double click a PDF to open in Acrobat from Workshop on Mojave. Other users here don't have the problem on Mojave but Kodak has verified the issue. Drag and drop a PDF to the Acrobat icon on the dock and there is no delay. Same for opening VPS Proofs from workshop. Big delay before it does anything using the right click menu but if you drag-n-drop the vps files from the workshop "Storage" tab to the Virtual Proof icon in the dock there is no delay. On these issues there is no process plan in play.
I read it on the B4Print forum:

We only see the delay when we try to use any type of Process template.
Shortcuts and/or right clicking to access process plans is an 8 second delay.

We can open pdfs through workshop quickly.

We were asked to beta test 9 but declined due to the heavy workload we are in now. I've beta tested for both Prinergy and Insite and they usually have work to complete after the beta cycle ends so there is some delay between it ending and the actual release date. We've held off upgrading Macs for over a year now because new Macs come with Catalina. So the sooner the better for it to be released. We're going to have to have Kodak upgrade us from Windows Server 2012 R2 to either 2016 R2 or 2019 as 9 is not going to run on Windows Server 2012 R2.
I have one Mac on Catalina and it runs Workshop. Just won't run Preps. My other Mac that came with Catalina, I made it dual boot to Mojave which works with Preps and Workshop...just that Workshop does that delay thing when you ask it to do something that uses a process plan.

We have two Epson 9000 proofers used mostly for book covers. We recently got a 4/C HP T490 40" inkjet press that is being installed. We have a Xerox Versant 80 that does two sided color proofs but the color isn't that great. The book proofs wouldn't be imposed yet because imposition isn't done until the last minute by Connex software but color should be consistent with what the press produces.

We do have two Kodak NexPress printers but I don't know that management wants to use those for proofs.

Any thoughts on a two sided quality proofer?

I just sent an e-mail as well. I got a bounce back from Kevin Rhoney that he's on leave... We'll see if the other person answers.

That is sad. I've had times where Kodak said you couldn't do something and with some help from people on that Forum, we figured out a way.

High Sierra is still available in the App Store. High Sierra Installer
The Mac I wanted to upgrade showed it already downloaded but damaged. I downloaded it on a different Mac and will try moving the installer to the Mac I actually want to upgrade.

Here ya go: [Link Removed]

Just Unzip and you will have the file that you install directly from within OS X. If you need a bootable disk like a USB stick you need to create it with something like Install Disk Creator or DiskMaker X.
Joe...could I get the link to the High Sierra installer, please. Thanks!

You probably already found the 4-5 page section from the huge Harmony manual that explains how to set up your curves! Not too hard after that but I can relate.

You can get really good info from the forums as long as the question you ask isn't too specific to just your situation or hardware.
