I think they are all helpful. Does your colour chart do anything other than CMYK? what about spot colors?

Enfocus / Re: Pitstop 13 bugs in DC on El Capitan
October 17, 2016, 09:36:44 AM
Joe, I've had the same issue for the longest time but some time ago it stopped and works fine.
I thought it was some of the updates that fixed it.

Perhaps if you delete preferences and recreate it now, it will work?

Quote from: zox on September 26, 2016, 07:51:50 AMI am using latest 27in 5K model, resolution is 5120 x 2880.
Machine is awesome, no issues and is very fast.

ditto here, love it!
very hard to go home to my 2007 iMac at times
My iMac at home is late 2012 so it's not big difference in speed, however it is 21.5" so I am missing couple of inches of screen.
For web browsing at home, etc.. it's fine, however when I vpn into work, anything I want to do is too cramped on small screen.

General Prepress / Re: Suprasetters_where made?

My Heidelberg tech tells me it is Heidelberg machine, designed from ground up by Heidelberg, including the Laser heads and built in Wiesloch where presses are made.
We just installed one for testing and I can tell you it is way different from Screen (We have couple of Screen devices too).
I really like how smart they utilized the space, cassette loader is under the conveyer, on Screen cassette loader is on a side so footprint used is huge.

Heidelberg / Re: Plate output order Prinect print manager

You will love it in Printready.
I was Brisque user for many years and we upgraded to Printready, never looked back.
Just one feature, not having 300 color bars to maintain is worth a gold and there are tons of features and helpful tools like that.
PDF tolbox plugin is your friend.

We have Prinergy too and it does not come close, even though they have the same origin.

As long as you turn on "Submit Print Order to Press", it should send colours in order as per your "Color" setup in job.
You can rearrange colors in color setup to your liking by drag and drop.

Other Imposition Software / Re: Batch imposing

It sounds doable with Quite Hot Imposing server.
It's not huge investment and is very fast, easily handling multi-page PDF's.

Enfocus / Re: Pitstop 11 on El Capitan

Andrew probably meant Pitstop 11 will not work with Acrobat DC.
For Acrobat DC, you must have Pitstop 12, update 3 or Pitstop 13.

Prinect Signa Station / Re: Curves & linearisation
June 07, 2016, 05:51:14 AM
I think there is a lot of the same going around, we've been going through similar acquisitions and integrations for several years now.
I don't see a sign of it stopping, you stop, you die :)

Anyway, good luck with your integration.
Let me know if I can help somehow, we have Printready, Prinergy and at the other location Printready, Prinergy and Esko.

Prinect Signa Station / Re: Curves & linearisation
June 06, 2016, 03:43:51 PM
Curves & Linearization should not be in Signa Station forum.
It depends on your setup.
We have Meta Dimension with calibration Manager that you use to create and tweak curves, etc...
Whoever set it up might have set folder with curves and configurations wherever.
Easy way would be to launch Calibration Manager, select Curve or Linearization and choose "Export".
Hopefully that will bring you to last folder used.
I hope his helps

Enfocus / Re: PitStop 13 update 2 now available
June 03, 2016, 05:11:00 AM
Just to add that Quite Imposing 4 should not be an issue.
I have DC with Quite Imposing Plus 4 and latest Pitstop 13, update 2 and Prinect plugins.
No issues, no crashing, etc..
The only time it crashes is usual Output Preview, e.g. if you leave it open, than close the document and than try to close output Preview, it crashes.
This is not new, it's been like this since inception, I believe.

On Signastation and Prinect, if I select page positions in page list and drag one file, it automatically assigns it to all selected positions, very handy.
Maybe try doing that and see if it behaves the same in Preps?

Adobe Acrobat / Re: Acrobat DC May 10 2016
May 17, 2016, 11:56:11 AM
You re better off with older Mac, I have the latest iMac with Retina screen which adds it's own problem where you have to run Acrobat in "low-res" mode, which defeats the purpose of retina display.
I guess we stopped complaining after while and got used to abuse.
I wonder why Enfocus does not make Neo or revamped version of Neo cheap enough to release to Prepress masses as a tool to replace Acrobat all together?
It would save money and aggravation for lot's of people.

Adobe Acrobat / Re: Acrobat DC May 10 2016
May 13, 2016, 06:31:32 AM
I can confirm Joe's findings, I am on MAC OSX 10.11.4, Latest Pitstop 13.1 and Acrobat DC.
Joe you don't have to close PDF, for me it was enough to close output Preview and colour returned to normal.
If you open Output Preview again, everything is fine as well, until you change something with Pitstop.
Annoying but not the end of the world for me. That Output Preview seems to be the last thing Adobe will ever touch to fix and our livelihood depends on it.
