Ok, so recently, my "Pages" panel is acting funky, and i cant get it to revert back to default.

the thumbs are buried in the panel, and i have to stretch the panel out to see them, and if there are multiple pages, i cant scroll them or access  them at all. its a real PITA.

running windows XP/CS4

Rebuild your Prefs file maybe? gonna screw up all your other custom Prefs of course but....

Try changing monitor res, and then back again?

I do that when pallettes disappear even though adobe says they're open.

We've always had random issues with ID and the pages panel.  If you leave it open (as i do at all times), sometimes it ends up having that issue.

The only soution we've found is to reset your Prefs file, as menioned before in this post.

I'm in the habit now of hiding backups of stuff in a place only I know about, and making redundant backups of files, preferences and/or settings. That way if the boss (or if I take a few days off and he brings in a replacement) fucks something up, I can always go back to the way I want/need it. The last two times in a row I was gone, I needed them when I came back.

I'm still wondering how he deleted my main Rampage profile set (last time he changed the setback in Preps when it was perfect previously); it still fucking baffles me. How did he get any work out once it was gone? I don't know when exactly it got wiped, so it could have happened last thing on the last day, but if it wasn't, there's no way he could have a) trapped anything (the other profile set was a poster rip for the wide format with no trap) or b) ripped the impositions correctly (the poster rip doesn't have the rotation or correct dimensions for proper setback)... that is unless he was clever enough to use on of the existing profile sets for another job, duped it, renamed it, and re-pathed it to the correct fpo folder... but me thinks he's not that bright, so I'm still baffled.

Have you checked if any setting in Page Attributes or panel options has been modified?

ive checked all that, reset most of that back to defaults, thats where they should have been.

going to attempt to dumpt the prefs as suggested and see if that works.  been limping along with it as is, as i fear if i start messing with things something else is going to break.
