My GF does the same. But she's fighting a 20lb part Maine Coon. He clears off most of her desk when he sprawls out. My 14 pounder straddles the keyboard to get on my chest as well. He literally wants to be held upside down like a baby and will NOT take no for an answer.

I always wanted a Maine Coon. I wouldn't need the help though. I get enough from my black domestic short hair. She wants to be on the desk while I'm working and there's no room. I put her on my lap but that's not good enough. Fussy!

Maine Coons are great. More personality than I've ever seen on a cat. They're cats for dog people with the low maintenance and lack of barking as all cats. I love them, but the hair....sweet mother of toilet seat all the hair. I don't know how these cats aren't bald.

My wife's friend rescued a litter of kittens and ended up keeping 3 of them ... annnnnnnd one of them turned out to be a Maine Coon. It looked just like the others until it suddenly grew a LOT, but it was always super tight with the other 2, which made for a super weird pictures.

That's about how we got ours. One of them we couldn't catch 8 years ago just keeps pumping out orange ones. Like she's using the clone tool.
