Anyone get this error and if so where in the hell can you turn "use trap setting from input file if present" off?

I do occasionally get a trapping error and if I shut down acrobat it tends to go away. I don't think it's that exact error but having acrobat open causes trapping issues here. In the process template turning on retrap trapped pages might help.

This is an old setting that was present in the days when Prinergy used the Heidelberg trapping engine. You must be using an old Process Template that had the option turned on and now since that feature has been removed, there is no place to disable it. The easiest solution is to create a New Process Template from scratch and set it up with the same settings as your current template.

Thanks Rob. I'll check that out. Hey I have another post on here about printing to an epson 9600 from prinergy, I need to know if it is possible or not w/o a 3rd party rip. Who better than an application specialist to ask. Thanks again.

I'm not an application specialist but if you install the printer on the Prinergy server I believe you can then set up a process template to print to it.

Thank Joe, but I tried that and couldn't get it to work.

What version of Prinergy do you have? I have setup a couple of HP LaserJets with Prinergy 5 this way and it works. Haven't tried it with an Epson though.

I remember needing the Epson tool in order to install the 9800 when we got prinergy. The kodak guys were scratching their heads for a day on that one.

It's Prinergy 4 and there is a printer driver in the process template for HP. Nothing for the Epson.

These were included with the Prinergy 5 install. Haven't used them though as we do not have any Epsons. I can send you the PT's if you think they will work with Prinergy 4.

Ummmm...now that I said that, does anyone know how to export process templates?

We had a 9600 hooked up to Prinergy a while back. Seems to me we did an imposed proof out to a Hot folder and the 9600 picked up the files from there.

one would think you would click on the Export button and then navigate out to where you keep the process templates, then click ok.
it's that easy
