Hi all, looking for a solenoid for a very old Polar knife.  Any ideas out there

What specifically is the solenoid for? I gather you have called the H people and they no longer have it?

Goodgulf

Polar no longer stocks that part.

The solenoid is a retro fit for OSHA purposes.  Lifts up a cam so the blade cannot cycle by accident

pun intended :D

Do you have the old solenoid? If so you might be able to get a part or product number off
of it. I'd check the local electrical supply distributors like Graybar or Granger. They should
be able to sell you a replacement, or at least point you in the right direction. If you have the
parts manual for that particular cutter I'd take that with me. It might be of some help.

Good luck!

Thanks for your help on this one, but I did find the part in CA for a fair price
