I have 2 .cdr files.
Can someone be kind enough to open these and convert them to Illustrator?

thanks!

I'd rather have stories told than be telling stories of what I could have done.

Do you not have Corel? You can save from Corel as an .ai or cut and paste directly into Illy.

This is also a Pooplisher trick. Cut and paste all from Pooplisher into Corel and save as .ai. Open in Illy and work properly.

I only have X2, and it's at home... not that either of these are of any help/use

Have you tried dropping in AI? I have had luck with it before, however that was V12.

This version won't let you do any of those tricks that worked in the past (change the extension to .ai, .eps, etc).

They discontinued the Mac version due to lack of sales.  It only runs on a Windows OS, and now my PC has decided to have hard drive issues. Maybe it doesn't want to open the files either.
Downloading the 30 day trial now, we'll see.

they have had my CDR file for over an hour now and no returned file, yet.

and, what's up with that name, file spazz?

too funny

well, I downloaded the huge Corel Draw X5 demo and opened the files up, all the text was outlines (darn, and I wanted to make edits, too!)
and, for some reason, it won't let me select anything on the pages, weird.
oh well, it's not like I wanted to do anything like edit it.
