I just ran into a article on FontXChange. It is a font conversion application for Macs.
Has anyone heard or tried this application?

No. But it sure looks interesting, in light of Type 1s and Snow Leopard. Not expensive, either. TBI....To be investigted...

FontLab (TransType) always had a stranglehold on that sort of stuff; and charged accordingly. Would be interesting to trial it.

Anyone installing the demo version should be aware that it's not time-limited, but will randomly flip or rotate characters...i.e.it's strictly for demo purposes only.
I can just see someone using it on a live job.   :death:

I  use it quite a bit.
I regularly need to switch fonts over to PC compatible for our PC based online storefront
I works just fine.
Obviously - it can not create the huge glif sets available in Open Type fonts
from other fonts - so there can be trouble there. (using "Variable Data" in the store)
But it is, no doubt, worth having.
