I've been informed by Esko Support that Nexus 10.1 is in beta and will be available soon. Exciting news for those of us that thought Nexus would die with v9.5. It will be a free upgrade for anyone with a valid annual service contract for Nexus.

FYI - Nexus 10.1.1 & Nexus Manager 10.1 license upgrades and software builds are available from the Esko Download Centre. Read the pdf directions for the upgrade carefully and do NOT deactivate your 9.5 license on your server - just activate 10.1. It's available free to any clients with an existing service contract.

Testing Nexus 10.1.1 this morning. Install, activation and workflow restoration have gone well. Interface on Nexus Manager hasn't changed; trapping module seems to do a better job, esp. interpreting/trapping multilayer transparencies. Will update you when we have tested more jobs.

So how his 10.1.1 working out for you? We are currently running 9.0.3 and we are doing an upgrade almost from ground up here and am wondering if going to 10.1.1 is the way to go or if there are better options out there.

So far, it's been pretty solid. The trapping works a lot better than in v9x or v9.5x. We spent a year or more in 9.5x and upgraded to 10.1.1 several months ago. The interface is very familiar, but highlights the arrows a little better. Grads seem to take a little longer to process than I seem to remember in 9.5, but all in all I'm glad we updated.

Updated to Nexus 10.1 about 3 weeks ago all is going well.  Using version 9.5.8 before that.
I would agree that the trapper has been improved ...faster and no fails of any kind so far....

Read instructions on updating carefully though...you can download from Esko download center
