Even after they said they wouldn't last year, the big red V is going to force you to go on a tiered plan if you don't upgrade before the 28th of this month. If you're close to a upgrade you may want to start bitching about your phone now and maybe they will let you upgrade early. Otherwise if you want to keep the unlimited plan you have to pay full ass raping price for your handset. Oh, and a new $30 upgrade fee (verizon speak for "it's just the tip") when you upgrade any phone.

Being a smartphone user for close to 10 years I'm not happy about it. I have a feeling it has to do with the release of the jesus iPhone 5. They need money to upgrade the network when all the sheepole come a running to have a 4LTE iPhone. They don't want to screw it up like ATT did.

drove by a house on my way home yesterday, it had a huge sign in the front yard, in big red letters "AT&T SUCKS". I snickered at that one.

meanwhile I am enjoying quality service at an agreed upon price, via the German phone company. SO glad that merger didn't happen.

Same company, same service - just wish they didn't throttle back speeds at 2 gigs - really not alot of data downloaded at 2 gigs.

The new data plans are 5 gb, the wife's phone has that. Mine's an old plan at 2gb. I still seem to be able to handle a hq stream of Pandora to and from work every day. Mostly at home or work I'm on wifi.

No wi-fi at work, streaming eats data alive.  I have the 2 phone 4g unlimited talk , text web for $100.00 and I run over 2 gb exery month and my wife uses like 100 mb...they won't allocate her data at high speed to my phone... bastards!

Most places I have my phone, there's wi-fi. I rarely use 3/4G/hspa. I checked my data usage the other day and it was like 600+ MB (I have unlimited). My wife is always on 3G and hits 2GB all the time. Now ATT sends her text messages to tell her she's at the 2GB "limit" and that they're going to throttle her down. Truly "Unlimited" is bullshit.

I have to side with t-pat on this one. If I don't spend at least 4 hours of manual labor setting up something electronic with all kinds of wires and shit, I can't enjoy myself in comfort when I want to relax.

Preferably while wearing some sort of Star Trek outfit

Physically setting up something electronic and talking to your friend about what you're wearing on a phone are two totally different things.
