More than likely will be. I am probably a lot more comfortable with windows than most of y'all having to deal with excel with alot of mailing and variable work. Windows 10 has been solid as a rock and if Creative Cloud could run on it without font issues, etc., it would not be a big leap. I could just use iMac 5k monitor for a remote desktop like i do now when i need the pc. My retirement date will be between 3 years and infinity, so I am sure to be dealing with it.

EFI has abandoned running its server on a mac. Our Navigator rip client will not work on any os above mojave. All the plugins we need could run on a pc.

Switch to opentype fonts and you won't have that problem. They are cross platform. Postscript (and postscript fonts) are dead.

Right, looks like it will be setting up to be not such a big deal.

Just got an email from Enfocus not to update:

PitStop Pro Mac users shouldn't update to latest Adobe version

Dear Paul,

This week, Adobe released a new update for Adobe Acrobat.
Acrobat 21.007.20091 for subscribers of the Document Cloud (Continuous Track)
Acrobat 20.004.30015 for users with a perpetual license of Acrobat 2020 (Classic Track)
Unfortunately, the Mac version of this update introduced a problem for PitStop Pro: when you select an object(s) in PitStop Pro, the selected objects and anchor points are not displayed. There is no workaround for this issue, so we would like to advise PitStop users on a Mac not to update Acrobat at this time. Windows users are not affected.

We have reported the issue to Adobe, and are in discussion with their engineers on how to resolve the issue. Please be assured that we will resolve this issue as soon as possible. When there is a fix, we will let you know via email.

There is a knowledgebase article available on the topic.

In general, we recommend turning off automatic updates for Acrobat, to prevent inconvenient consequences in PitStop in the future.

This can be fixed by using your Time Machine backup for the entire Acrobat DC folder
We had 3 workstations affected and that worked....restart required.
Used a TM from yesterday afternoon.
Email from Enfocus landed in my junk.

Yeah we just copied the DC app from an unaffected Mac and turned off auto update in Acrobats prefs.

Forgot about using time machine.

Understandable as I was having a nervous breakdown.

Just remember you are the one that discovered this issue as far as I'm concerned. You're famous now! ;D

I will try not to let it go to my head!

Tracy

I can't see the selection with my pitstop tool
It is selecting but I can't see the the lines that it selected
what the heck?

Tracy

ugh! it seems acrobat updated, the guy that worked here for a month must have checked auto update
I never let anything update by itself.
How can I go back to the previous acrobat?
