Title: Switch and Pitstop Server
Post by: Mikie on March 21, 2019, 01:52:27 PM
I wanted to make sure of something, but to run Switch you need Pitstop server, correct? The website is a tad confusing. Our ultimate goal was to use the HP EPM module, and I don't know that we need everything else that comes with Pitstop Server and Switch.

ABC (Andrew Bailes-Collins) would be the guy to ask. Send him a PM on here. He is usually very prompt at replying.

Switch is modular so you only need to buy what you need.
The fundamental part is Switch Core, and then you buy whatever modules you need on top of that.

You can also connect to other products from Enfocus and other vendors.
PitStop Server being one of those.

For EPM there is a special bundle to get everything you need, that includes PitStop Server which is used to analyse the file to check if it's suitable for EPM or not.

Thanks abc, I didn't know about the bundle for the HP part. HP is supposed to be coming out with the same functionality in their PrintOS system, but it won't be available until mid summer.

It's a Switch configuration with the specific flows for EPM.
But it's still Switch.

So you can do whatever you want with it, such as App Store, add Modules etc.

Honestlt it's amazing the things customers construct with it.
