What is your Process/Spot Trap Width set to?

Is 3 mils the norm?

Seems to me like it is heavy.

We use .08mm (just shy of .25pt) for most work, .05mm for our nice 6c Komori press.

3 mils comes out as .076 mm.

I think it is good for the web but I'd like to set it thinner for Sheet work.

Maybe I'll drop it in the suggestion box!  :laugh:

Depends on what I'm trapping here. Most jobs get the 3 mills setting but the AB-Dick gets 5 mills sometimes 8 mills. Rich Black keep a ways get 8 mills. Unless your printing for Eagles, or have brand new presses, 3 mills is a little less than a 1/4 point, .22 point, or .004 inches.

Default = 3 mm.
When using metallic, I set that color to trap at 1 mil sometimes 1.5.

When I used the Brisque, we always used .08mm. Here they use 5 mils (?) as their default. Kinda like you could drive a truck through it.

Oh man, I lied so bad. I forgot, when we upgraded our rip we changed the default to 2 mm for both spot and process. And for metallics I still hand trap to 1 or 1.5 mm.
