Is it even compatible? My G5 has died (I'm hoping it can be fixed) and I get to buy a new Mac. But the new ones only come with Snow leopard and I want to make sure it will run Rampage. If it won't I'll have to buy a refurbished one. Those still come with the older leopard on them.

Do you still need Appletalk? I ask because Snow Leopard does not have it. The last of Appletalk is in 10.5.x

What version of RAMpage? I had network issues with Snow and Rampage 10.6. I reverted to Leopard on that iMac and after some finagling I got it to work. Funny thing Apple fixed my G5 for nothing so I'm back to using it running Tiger anyway. The iMac has turned into a music server and test Mac set up with just leopard apps until customers start sending in CS4 and Quark 8 files. So far jobs done by those two have been slim to none.

My boss has Snow Leopard on his laptop and is running Rampage 10.4.0b9 so he can "keep tabs on me." I don't work for Big Brother, but now that it's slow, I find myself under the microscope of my new micromanager who really needs to go out and generate more sales and worry less about what I'm doing, how I'm doing it and what porn sites I visit on the web at work when he's not in the office.

I've been resisting getting CS4 'casue CS5 should be releasing around April but I've seen a bunch of CS4 files lately. There is a box here with CS4 but the user thinks surfing and celebrity gossip comes before production.

Thankfully I haven't seen a Quack 8 file in a while. Got a Quack 4 one this week but now that I've named the devil I'll get 5 Q8 ones in a row.

Sorry to hear digital, I start surfing porn and the bosses come over to look.

Obviously I was just kidding around. But coincidentally, at my old job, which I hated, the owner came over one time and said "I hear Angelina Jolie is naked on the web somewhere and I want to see it. How do I find pictures of her?"

In regards to Quark, I never upgraded from 6.5. I saw a few 7 files a few years ago, but we made the customer save them down to 6 for us. After a few projects, they moved to CS4. I haven't seen a Freehand file in about that length of time either; the onwer told them we no longer support it, but I do have v11 on my machine if I need it.

I've got one Freehand idiot that I have told 1,000+ times to set up his G**D*** multi-page booklets in InDesign that he inisists he do in Illustrator because he can utilize his old Freehand files in Illustrator now. I get them with all kinds of crap in the pasteboards, items locked down and on hidden layers, and rarely does he get the bleeds right. He also likes to float stuff off center on an oversized artboard. I hate saving from Illustrator to pdf (I prefer .eps with OPI), but he leaves me no options. He always complains about having to manually collect all the fonts and images, which I told him InDesign will do for him, but I still get Illustrator files.

How come the folks at Adobe never put a collection/packaging option in Illustrator?
