If not interested in it, how can I sell this unit to someone who will appreciate it at a fair price?

How did you just happen to come across a c6000?
Getting a "fair price" without a Certified Canon tech to disassemble/assemble that thing is gonna be a good challenge.

How much you looking to get? With delivery to California, it's gonna be pricey, so it needs to be worth our while.
