Quote from: DigiCorn on March 26, 2013, 04:22:30 PManyone know how to create a stack in preps? I need a 2-up 8.5 x 11 template with a .25" x .25" gutter, 45 sigs on an 18 x 12 sheetwise. the left side needs to be numbered front and back 1-90, the right side 91-180.

cut and stack, under binding style
Then I don't know how to use it properly, 'cuz it doesn't do what I want it to do.

Quote from: DigiCorn on March 26, 2013, 09:50:20 AMNice! I finally upgraded to 6.3 from 6.2 and the biggest and best thing I've seen is that when writing to a .ps (instead of .pdf) it used to write an .eps for the digital presses and now it makes a true .ps.

What's ' .ps'?  :butterwouldntmelt:

File format from the olden days.
I have to distill certain stripped files to a lower .pdf version for Smart Board. Acrobat 5.0 or lower. It's not by choice; believe me.

if you put that in your templates folder, then put your pages in the "Pages" list, then go to layouts, right click on that template and do "Auto Select" it will magically add all the signatures and populate them.

That is EXACTLY what I did, and it worked fabulous.

Yeah - I just didn't know how to use the cut & stack option. I kept duping the template and it didn't work. Doing it like how t-pat described was the answer.

yes they are. Until someone edits the mark instead of the position on their run, and you get a takeoff bar smack in the middle of your layout.
