I want to have a text box that displays a linked file name.
What's the easiest way to do this. I also may only want to use part of the file name in the text box.

Joe

I don't have the answer for you but welcome to the forum. Hopefully someone will come along and help you out.

There is a script that can do that.
You can download it and many other useful scripts here

they were just updated for CS3, I'm guessing thats the version you are running, if not post back.

1. select the type you want to make into a hyperlink.
2. open the "hyperlink" pallet, and with the type selected click on the "new link" tab on the bottom.
3. fill out the correct info in the dialog box and you have a one word hyperlink to your desired link.

Good point born2print, the specifics would be of interest. I'm being a bit presmptuous.   :-[
