So we are now process-less with the Fuji ZD plates

I forgot to ask, how long can you let plates sit out after exposure? I know to put it in a box if not using right away.

IMO, as little exposure to light as possible. A moment or two won't spoil the plate, but don't push it.

How does the press people like them? Is there an image on the plate you can see?

Be curious to hear how you like them. We tried them, but our KBA press could not use them, as we have an auto loading function that won't work with the plates as the image is too light.

You can see the image a little, no where near as well as other processed plates, not well enough to check them.
Our pressrooms seem to like them well enough, there was no crying.
It seems worth it over all to me.

I don't believe out Manroland or Komori auto loaders see the image. Does it do this to align the plate?

You are correct. And also to make sure it has the correct plate in the correct unit, as far as job and color.

Yes, that is what it uses. That and cross hairs.
And Tracy - how'd you manage doing that to your heal? Gotta make sure I don't do that myself.
